Last week we started down an exciting new path in our composting journey when we set up our new Green Johanna hot composter, alongside our existing cold composting bays.

One in three children don’t know that bananas grow on trees, 2 in 5 that potatoes grow underground and 1 in 5 think fruit and vegetables are nothing to do with farms and are only available from shops. These terrifying statistics were recently collated by Hello Fresh.

This week a group of us met up to water the orchard together, but once that was done and the sun went down, it was time to swap watering cans for bat detectors and head out on the hunt for some nocturnal visitors!
